Today is about “Revlon Cosmetic Review”
A couple weeks ago, I was invited to the Revlon Event. And at the end of the event, they gave me a gift bag of some cosmetic products I tested out.
And Of course. I like all the ones I have picked out. However, there were two items that I thought I would really like to recommend to you guys.
I am going to write a review of these two items. One is Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor (Amour) and the other one is Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Foundation (110 Ivory).
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Amour :
The moment I tried this color at the event, I totally fell in love with this one. The color was a super bright red with a bit of pink tint.
The tip is just about a average common size and there isn’t anything much special about it. But how the color shows on skin is exactly the same as how you see from outside of the casing. It applies every evenly, soft and one touch shows all of the color. There is no need to continuously put more and more.
So, I applied it on my lips. I put the lipstick on the inner corner first and then smudged it slowly to the outline to give the gradation look rather than full lips (for being Korean, I prefer the two tone gradation vs full lips haha). By the way, My lips weren’t exactly in a good condition so I am sorry about that. But this lipstick has covered all the cracks like it never existed! It felt so soft on my lips and I just loved how it applied so smooth and silky.
Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Foundation (110 Ivory) :
I have an oily/combination skin so I picked this one but I also tried ‘Combination/Dry’ as well. Just to let you know, the texture itself doesn’t really have of much difference but after you apply on your skin, you can definitely feel the difference in terms of moist.
I wrote “Hannah” on my hand with a waterproof eyeliner to test how much of coverage this product has. The result was a bit disappointing because as you can see, you can somewhat cover the letters but still shows clearly. I would say the coverage of this one is Medium. As even the oily/combination one is also very focused on giving the glowing face, I can only imagine the coverage on the dry/combination would be worse than this. But there is still a reason why I want to recommend this one to you. I’ve noticed that a lot of you are only focused on heavily covering the face to look so flawless. Which is fine. However, That kind of make up is quite heavy on your skin, dries out a lot faster, rebalances your skin and because you always have to give the matte finish, You have to continuously add extra powder as a layer and more.
How about, use a bit a light foundation which covers the major spots on your skin but still gives the natural dewy and healthy look on your skin? (I believe one of the reasons why a lot of Koreans have good skin is because they don’t like to wear heavy foundation and powder.)
Looking like a doll with the flawless skin is always gorgeous. But Let’s be honest. How many of us have the full hours of time to just layer up on our face everyday?
